Historian and Re-enactor Eric Sandifer of Baytown will be the guest speaker at the Liberty County Genealogical Society’s tuesday meeting. it will be held at 10 a.m. in the upstairs meeting room at the Sam Houston Regional Library and research center. eric Sandifer is Past President of the Saint Bartholomew Chapter of the Huguenot (Hugh-guh-know) Society of Texas. mr. sandifer and his wife, Glenda, are members of numerous genealogical and lineage-based societies. his program is TITLED "Who Were the Huguenots?". It includes a brief history and discussion of the contributions made by their descendants. The Huguenots were French Protestants who fled their native homeland to escape religious persecution. Some went to Belgium, the Netherlands and England while others came to the New World. Their descendants include George Washington, Paul Revere, William Barrett Travis, David Crockett and Zachary Taylor. so not that date, historical re-enactor eric sandifer will present this program tuesday at 10 a.m. at the sam houston REGIONAL library. those interested in the liberty County Genealogical Society, please call 936-258-9141
