a marine corp veteran is walking through liberty county on a trek from florida to california to raise awareness for disabled american veterans. richard "Rich" Hunsucker said he has TRAVELED about 850 miles on his 2,650 mile journey.

a resident of Wisconsin, rich hunsucker said the purpose of his sojourn is to bring awareness to DISABLED american veterans.

on friday, the marine corp veteran traveled along u.s. 90 from china to four miles west of devers. today, he will continue along highway 90 through the liberty-dayton area in his quest to remind people about disabled american veterans. rich hunsucker said anybody who would like to learn more can go to his website – www.vetwalking.org. he also is raising funds for the non-profit organization called disabled american veterans. those interested in making a contribution can click on the donate button on the vet walking website. that will take you directly to a secure section of the disabled american veterans website.
